Steel companies have turned knight in shining armour providing India’s medical facilities with much-needed Oxygen. What’s more, most dont expect this diversion to affecti Steel production
Dilip Oommen, President, Indian Steel Association and CEO, ArcelorMittalNippon Steel told ET NOW that Steel makers have been sending almost all their liquid Oxygen stock to medical facilities. “The plants keep around half a day’s Oxygen consumption in their safety stock and the rest is sent to medical facilities”.

Would this Oxygen diversion hurt Steel production in India? Not according to Oommen. He says even if there is any impact it will be negligible and we will be able to recover it quickly”
